Having a hard time with a makers mark

Post by scolada on September 28th 2015, 8:13 pm

Hello All,

I have a lovely cut glass centerpiece that has a makers mark on it but I'm not having much luck with my research and I'm hoping that some of the kind people on here can help me out a little bit please. I'll attach some photos and see if it rings a bell to anyone. Thanks.

Not saying it is Polish, but is this what is known as a "Polish cut" design?

Anything is possible. The pinwheel and star are quite common for ABP but I'm not sure if this fits.

I think it's Polish or Chinese. Seen a lot of this type of glass in the charity shops. Often the 'cut and polished' pattern is moulded, and only the star and a few other bits are cut into the surface but not polished.

You hit the nail on the head with the description Naomi. Moulded then cut.
