sometimes there is no RS or GS mark on Quay pottery making identification less straight forward so keep in mind the difference in age and experience between Guy & Russel then compare your unmarked piece with Quay pottery that was marked by Guy

Will do. It’s the second Russell Sydenham piece I’ve found and both have had hairline cracks. This one has several long cracks round the body, probably because the throwing rings inside are quite pronounced and led to a weakness in the clay during firing
