Hi
This ? tenmoku glazed bottle has a full set of marks including what looks like the year it was made. John Ward appears in studiopottery.com website but different mark and the description of his work doesn't bear much resemblance either.  Does anyone have any ideas ??

The famous John Ward (the other one) is John Douglas Ward and you are correct the work is nothing like this.

First time I've seen this mark.

No, I didn't realise that there was another John Ward, who potted.

I did in fact live in the same road as the other John Ward but that was before I knew studio pottery existed.
