Large bottle jug with incised conifer trees, Welch - German? Empty Large bottle jug with incised conifer trees, Welch - German?

My first thought when I saw this was Northern European, eg, Germany, although the previous owner had been buying studio pottery around Farnham for many years so English was a small possibility (If Ed says that's Robin Welch's signature then so be it, but I suspect that's a miss-attribution or a previous owner's name).
Marked with a cross on the base. 12" high, 7" wide
Could it be by Christel Humpert?

The mark is difficult to see in the image but it does look like the one on numes2's vase that styleinvasion ID'd earlier today.

Most Excellent cheers. I'll try another angle but my worry is it's just a cross, not a double tick that's crossed as with the other pot. I wondered if the up-end of the ticks were meant to represent the C and the cross the H in the initials.

I now see that on the bigger picture but styleinvision should be able to give an answer.
