Many companies used "English pewter" in the mark, but can't track this one down.
They will be early 20thC, possibly AS of Birmingham?

Thanks for trying DD. I've searched online but also cant's get an exact match. Are they in over-cleaned condition? Do the pewter people want them grubbier?

Is each post going to have an extra pound coin in it.

I handle and restore a lot of pewter, and clean it all, for various reasons.
It was known as "Poor man's Silver" and when new, and cleaned regularly,
it looked like silver, but allow it to tarnish too much, and then, unlike silver,
it becomes very difficult to clean up, yours don't look too dirty though.

They are there for scale! I have a pot full of shiny ones. Just got carried away!
Ok, wasn't me, I'm not the over polishing type.

Any arts & crafts/art nouveau/secessionist stylistic pieces do well, Tudric being the
main one, but continental manufacturers like eg. Orivit, Kayzerzinn, Osiris and Oriana
can be just as good.

Yes looking there are some Tudric pieces like mine but their curves and movement are so much better. Mine look like flat provincial copies in comparison.

Sorry Crawford for jumping in on your thread but was just wondering DD if its possible for me to reshape my pewter planter back with a hammer? I got this quite a few years back in this condition. Should I polish it or leave it, your thoughts appreciated.

Roundhead pewter. Trademark used by Samuel Groves of
Birmingham between 1922 and the 1950s
I of course would bash it out and clean it to "chrome" condition.
Not of any great value Zip, but a nice bit anyway.
Use blocks of wood to bash it, don't hammer it directly!

Adventurous! If you go for it zip tell us what happens!
Re: Deco Pewter Vases -marked ASB ENGLISH PEWTER
2 mins work Zip, you can be quite brutal with english pewter, as it's
quite soft, compared to continental pieces.

Re: Deco Pewter Vases -marked ASB ENGLISH PEWTER
So Zip, how did you get on?
My latest comission, all tudric, bashing and scrubbing, is my work never done?

Denby they look lovely, I am afraid I've been lazy and still not got around to it.
Got this little deco cup recently, Craftsman 26-39. like it as I have not found one before.
