HOW TO SHRINK A COLLECTION WHEN IT GETS TOO LARGE
I have noticed a few of our members have let their love of collecting get out of hand, I am one of the worst offenders but last year decided to do something about it and have sold well over 100 pots whilst buying very few to add to my collections.
Last month I set myself a target of £1,500 to be gleaned from pottery sales with a deadline of December 25th. I have been ebaying at 4 times my usual rate and reached my target this morning
Most of the pottery I bought this year was sold again within a month or two so I can still enjoy the hunt but now only buy pieces that I know will sell very quickly and for a profit.

Since you have been so good this year I guess I am now one of the worst offenders, but my New Years resolution is to list everything on eBay that has gone into the garage - I have spent the past few months sorting it into Keep and Sell, and will plough the money back into a few choice pots by potters I otherwise couldn't afford, eg Curtis and Maltby.

To add, I also have three boxes of Unidentified. Nothing gets sold where I dont know what it is.

Anything below a fiver will go to the charity shop.

You've done well Dan.
I'm going to join in the new year, and donate a few "box fulls" back to charity shops.

yes I have a few car boot bargains that can go to charity shops, I think the fiver cut off is a great idea too

Well you know that old adage about 'one man's meat'.
I think someone will love it
