Hello, Your pot was made by ex-Aldermaston potter Simon Rich. His mark is sometimes mistaken for that of Stanislas Reychan. Hope this helps:)

Early domestic wares by Simon Rich

From StudioPottery website

Simon Rich
Simon Rich has worked from his Narberth Pottery in Pembrokeshire, south-west Wales since 1972. He trained at Aldermaston with Alan Caiger-Smith from 1965 to 1969.

Simon has worked in stoneware and now specializes in porcelain with a variety of glazes and techniques, notably crystalline, terra sigilata and raku.

Small studio pottery vase marked SR

I've just bought this lovely little vase but am unsure of the makers mark. The only SR potter i can find is Simon Rich. Anyone any ideas?

It looks very like Simon Rich's early work. The mark isn't quite the same but it may just be because it's an early version too.

I agree with Potty. Decor is typical of Simon's early work.
