Hi everyone would anyone be able to help me please? I have an oil painting signed A E Ridgeon Dec 1949 but I cannot find any information on it.would be most grateful if somebody could help.Thanks.

I have checked in the "Artists in Britain since 1945", which is a comprehensive 2 volumes that contain entries for around 14500 artists, and there is no mention of a Ridgeon in there.
It is likely to be by a local artist, who didn't achieve a national reputation, so information will be difficult to find unless a relative or someone who knew the artist comes across these or similar images elsewhere.

Ok thankyou everyone for your help.was wondering as ive been doing a bit of research, could it be 'ridge on'? It comes up with information to do with that in Scotland. Any ideas on that please?
