With his workshop in Cervià de Ter, the ceramist Emili Biarnés presents a personal work with red clay to which he applies techniques such as contemporary metal lustre. He makes unique pieces and has taken part in numerous exhibitions.

The ceramist Emili Biarnès Raber (1956) from Barcelona, after working in different ceramic workshops, opened his own workshop in Sant Pere de Torelló in 1987, later moving to Cervià de Ter in 1991. He has created and investigated around shapes and ceramic enamels. He makes his pieces in red clay baked at 1,040ºC in an inverted flame gas furnace and applies techniques such as contemporary metal lustre. He makes short series and unique pieces. He has taken part in numerous individual and collective exhibitions and some of his pieces have been purchased by museums and administrations. He is a founding member of the Associació de Ceramistes de Girona.
