That mark in your link is Mary Rich but it is not the same at all.

I doubt it's by Mary Rich.

I might have been dreaming this but I seem to remember someone contacting Mary about these cats in the past and she confirmed that they were by her.

Where this falls down though is that I thought that it was Potty who had contacted her.

I know she's fond of cats.

I have a feeling she did make some cats, though I don't think they were like this, more solid construction if i remember correctly.

Either way this mark is a lot different to her usual mark and it would not be hard for any of these ebay sellers to contact her and ask.

Was not me anyway SP  Big Laughter

Not necessarily. Why don't you contact her via her website?

Looks a bit like Margaret Shotton's mark

Post by ClaraIreland2 on February 23rd 2014, 10:51 pm

The mark looks more like Margaret Shotton's although not exactly as shown in British Studio Potters Reference work, and I don't know whether this is in her style.
