Could this be a Czech Glass Ashtray

Post by lorrgeno on January 15th 2014, 8:18 pm

I dont know what to think of this. It seems too well made for modern Chinese. It looked similar to some of the Canadian Chalet pieces so I asked one of their people. I was told it was a mid century Czech piece.
I'm not going to keep it but and want to make sure I'm not labeling it wrong. No siggy
Here is the ashtray Thank you
its about 9" across the top
4" high
about 3 lbs 4 oz

Looks like Chribska glass by Josef Hospodka
There's a similar looking piece on 20thCenturyGlass website.

NaomiM.... your knowledge of glass and pottery is amazing. I just googled " Chribska glass by Josef Hospodka" and yes, many pieces that are almost identical came up
