Emerald green, ground pontil organic rim non Whitefriars Soda shape vase
Hi
I love this vase due to the thickness of the glass and the effect it causes in the depth of green. Very similiar to Whitefriar soda vase shaoes but I thnk it is more akin to a Scandinavian earlier piece. The base has use scratches and a ground out pontil with a slight irreglarity and not perfectly round which often makes me concerned on age but it feels right for a 50/60's piece.

Agreed, some of the shapes from the soda range do crop up like this in colour cased in crystal (with polished pontil) instead of thinner walled single colour (moulded base) examples like this one: soda vase photo
