Hi

My sister's piece. The base is clear and the inside is cased pearl with a light multi-coloured petroleum sheen on the outside.
No marks to base or mold lines nor pontil. The rim cover has gone but was probably silver and no reaction to UV light

Made by Kralik, this pearly finish often known as mother of pearl, found in lots of different shapes, some examples have a more yellowy iridescence.

Occasionally found with silvered tops but 95% of the time they are brass coloured.

just a suspicion, but as JoFish mentioned, i would imagine this originally had a wire mesh type covering for use as a rose bowl vase.
