Huge cased bowl/vase Monart - like? ID help please!

Got a few bits of glass and pottery at the moment which I wouldn't mind trying to identify - one of which is this this very large bowl (i don't have dims to hand but approx 30cm high x 30cm at rim, and from memory weight about 3.5-4KG!!) which is a lovely vibrant cloudy/mottled green, cased in clear glass.
There are small metallic inclusions within (see photos) and the form has a hand blown un-uniform appearance. Large polish pontil on it's narrow base, which is a deep section of clear glass.
I'm not so hot on this kind of glass, but thought there was a chance it could be Monart?  Then again the shape is quite extreme (which is actually what i like about it!) and the mottled effect is quite subtle so i'm not so confident.  
I bought it very cheap from a car boot and really like it anyway so not worried if it doesn't turn out to be anything of value.... it could of course be contemporary!

It does not look like Monart to me, I had a big heavy vase with a similar mottled appearance that defied all my research efforts. It sort of looked 1930s-ish but the shape of yours somehow seems more modern.
