Kent Potters Annual Exhibition - Photo's
I popped over to the West End House Gallery at Smarden yesterday, to see the Annual Exhibition (selling exhibition) of the Kent Potters Association.
http://www.west-end-house-gallery.co.uk/
It was well worth the visit.
The West End House Gallery, is a small Gallery (two medium sized rooms) in the village of Smarden - a very scenic part of Kent.
Welcoming friendly staff in a nice cosy Gallery.
With almost 300 exhibits from 34 Potters, there was a good range of subjects and styles, at a wide range of prices - £7-£560. Although the bulk of it was probably below £60.
I've taken pic's of most things - not just those that interested me.
I've added some detail - Sorry to the many who have been omitted or not mentioned.
I do have details on several of the others, so ask for any info, if you want to know about any specific items and if I have it I'll add replies.
A few animal sculptures by Suki Stokes from Maidstone.
They are all hand made and finished by Smoke Firing. I just had to buy one!!
A large stoneware Marine Iguana, by Bev Burt from West Wickham.
A 'double walled bowl with red glaze, by Tony Foard from Barming.
Right - White Raku pot by Jane Bridger from Tunbridge Wells.
Raku resist slip pots by Frances Wells from Sevenoaks. The bird above these vases is another by Bev Burt.

That's all Folks. Hope you've enjoyed looking at them. If you get the chance, do pop down and have a look for yourself. The sold items are being replaced, so the display is changing all the time as new items are added.
