Tankard marked df - Dan Finnegan
I feel sure that I should know who this tankard was made by . . . but I don't and will be grateful for any help.
It's a beautifully made piece with fine black crazing under the glaze. I've seen similar on old Chinese pots, but never before on modern studio pottery.
I thought at first sight in the charity shop that it might be by David Frith, but he joins his d and f together and his work doesn't look like this. Don't have any other ideas.

Might be by David Frith. I've seen an example of his monogram with separate df plus Brookhouse Pottery label.

After further investigation I might have answered my own question. This tankard could be by Dan Finnegan of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Just thought you'd like to know.

I think he did a few of the ceramic shows over here in the UK the 1990s.
