I have owned this vase for several years but have not managed to id it despite it having impressed marks. The marks are not very clear but sometimes  you can read them if you know the name. Hopefully, thanks, Mark

Thanks, you may be correct, I think I posted the picture upside down. Do you know anything about them?

The longer word underneath looks like its probably 'HANDTHROWN'. Think it could be Irish

There's a record of a Boarhills Pottery Ltd that started in 1900 but the company dissolved in 1982.
This pot looks 60-70s.

Hi Does anyone know anything about Boarshills pottery. Found this little (10cm tall) stoneware vase recently and can't find much on the pottery other than it was in Fife between 1900 and 1982. Many thanks for any leads Patrick

I’ve come across the name before but I don’t know who the potter was. Looks like 1950s-60s period. The second word is Hand Thrown. Presumably made in Boarhills, Fife, Scotland

Thanks Naomi yes seems it must have been a pretty small pottery, although very little on net given its longevity. I shall keep looking. Cheers
