exactly.... 
you are right, it might be a student's painting....
for me it looks like somebody tried to find his personal artistic handwriting
but haven't found it when he painted this...
another thing:
in germany it's quite unusual to date a painting with month and year....
and sign it with a single letter at the same time...
just an idea...

it's similar to some of the French,drugaddicted hippie art I have seen
I also think it was produced at art college
