Green bowl, not so humble
Hallo!
First off, can somebody tell me what the (nominal) function of this bowl type beauty is? Does the style have a name?

It's about 11" / 28cm in length and 4" / 10cm at its widest

The base has 'flea bites' around the edge.

Again, any ideas on origin / maker, age and value would be well appreciated.

Possibly Anchor Hocking, 'Stars & Bars' or 'Thousand Line' pattern. c.1940s-60s.
Probably a fruit bowl.
As for value, under a tenner - they're quite common in the charity shops.

I agree. I've got a few myself. Have you tried it under a UV light?

Thanks!
No not looked under UV light. Just looked this up and the results said "uranium glass". Do you think the colouring could be uranium?
