Nic Harrison, Trelowarren Pottery
Large pottery plate or tray.

Nic Harrison was the last student under Bernard Leach before he died. Nic set up his first pottery 1981 on the Trelowarren Estate near the village of Mawgan just outside of Helston in Cornwall UK, in 2005 he moved his pottery to Ashton near Breage close to the main road from Penzance to Helston.

Spotted a similar one on Nic's stand at Farnham's Art In Clay show this year.

Some more pics from the show (I asked permission first).

I think a nappy is a feeding bowl. I've seen these described as pouring bowls.

Nic Harrison Mug - Trelowarren Pottery Helston.
Very nice small Nic Harrison mug. Trelowarren Pottery, Mawgan Near Helston - Cornwall UK - Circa 1981 to 2005.

Studio Pottery Mug by Trelowarren Pottery
Studio pottery mug but cannot pull any info from the mark apart from maybe a faint Tp for Trelowarren Pottery but not sure about the design and glaze, anyone know the potter and design, thanks.

Re: Nic Harrison, Trelowarren Pottery
Pretty much a classic standard decoration much used 1970's , which would be no use in identification. Which leaves the occluded mark. Is there a P or R in there? I vaguely wonder about Robert Tinnyunt, who worked with David Leach.

Pottery Mug
Shame about the mark not being so clear. It maybe a faint capital T or P and defiantly a lowercase letter, anyway one to ponder over, thanks for your reply.philpot wrote:Pretty much a classic standard decoration much used 1970's , which would be no use in identification. This is what info I have pulled from the mark by drawing around what I think is a Tp. Looks good to me, just my opinion, could be Tr.
