Tall stoneware cylinder vase - Purbeck?
13" tall light grey stoneware cylinder vase with a brown wash on the outside and yellow glaze on the inside.
Wheel turned with hand combed decoration. Unmarked but looks like 1970s Purbeck stoneware to me.
However, I thought their stuff was moulded rather than handworked.

I do have the book , although it is verry simplistic to say the least , i have gleamed a few good stories historically correct from the one of the old original directors and the now managing director of the firm at present which are verry note worthy of an insertion in the book, shame really .
PS Purbeck blogs never seen any , all my pics are on Flickr under Purbeck pottery of course .

ID Help Purbeck dish??
I am thinking that this is Purbeck, any confirmation please. The outline of a paper label looks about right size. Is there a particular name for this type of decoration?

Re: Purbeck
Yes Purbeck. I think there's an example on the Purbeckcollector website . Might be one of Eddie Goodall's.

An Eddie Goodall vase for Purbeck , signed
Here is a signed vase by Eddie Goodall , 7 3/4 inches tall, for Purbeck , no label. Any idea of date , late 1970's perhaps ? Cheers, Mike

Pewter coloured plate - Purbeck?
Nice design in gun-metal blue on a dark pewter ground. Porcelain, I think.
I'm trying to think of the English studio potter who does the black and white designs. David-somebody? At Hook-something?
Two indistinct stamps. First might be S-something. And the other something-w

Re: Purbeck
A bit of a long shot, based on the similar sort of pattern, I'm wondering if it's Purbeck.

Large Charger 12.25 inch diam. 2inch tall
Similar size charger on page 6 with Angel Fish design.
This looks like a Gentian Flower to me.
No idea of age.

Re: Purbeck
Age by the looks of the label I would say late 60's early 70's I am sure I nearly bought that very same piece in Poole only the other day , if not very similar.

Eddie Goodall's monogram was used at Purbeck between 1971 to 1974 & not after that period apparently (to save time ??) see page 70 Purbeck Pottery- A history and collectors' guide by Peter Freeman & Alan Peat , Creative Educational Press

Early, large, Purbeck, shallow serving bowl with impressed mark.
Purbeck, shallow, footed serving bowl with early style , impressed mark . 12 inches in diameter . Design most probably by Robert (Bob) Jefferson.

Cheers, Mike

Odd triangular coil vase with impressed C E Monogram
Hi
Odd piece this, not sure if I like it. Good impressed initials but couldn't find the mark in 'The Book'.

very tall vase Purbeck

A lovely large vase with a geometric design on the front. It measures 14.5" tall and doesnt have any makers marks. I think it may have had a brown glaze all over at some stage as its quite streaky on the main body of the vase, possibly from handling? compared to the underneath of the rather strangely shaped neck where the brown colour/glaze is still quite heavy. Any help always appreciated. Thanks.
