Indeed and ,although an extremely clear mark, I can find nothing about a pottery of that name or indeed a place of that name - not even in the UK let alone Sussex.

We in Britain did a bit of that in the past but like everything else we find it is cheaper to leave it to the Far East to deal with these days. In this case North Korea.

Owley seems to be a parish just north of Wittersham in Kent near the border with Sussex. A link here to somebodies familiy history and history of the area no mention of a pottery but it might give you a start :)

Yes, I did find an Owley Farm just north of Wittersham in Kent but the village seems to have disappeared long ago.

Clearly everything with Owley in its name is doomed!
