Lovely round shino-glazed vase by Joyce Davison.
Stamped on base JD Castle Acre.
6" high.
I was told by the previous owner that the white glaze decoration is supposed to be a Chinese character, not a dead seagull.

Great shape, beautiful honey lustre. Couldn't be better imo. And, reading her CPA bio, it appears she didn't start potting seriously until late in life. She's now in her 70s.
