Murano, Czech, Chinese?

Large dimpled perfume bottle, missing atomiser. Purple core, cased in brown-tinted glass. Base polished flat.

I would have thought lamp base with a brass top missing and outside wiring?

The seller did suggest it could be that or a perfume bottle. The neck is very small - I can't imagine it would bear the weight of a light fitting and shade - which is why I went with perfume bottle.

I have since seen one of these with an atomiser so they were made as perfume bottles

I'm sure I've seen/had lampbases exactly like this, but in solid glass, and quite heavy.

i've once had two bedside lamps in that size
if i recall correctly it has been val st lambert
but not sure about it
