Hand carved wooden bull
Hi
Any ideas team? A difficult carve with the grain and finished with a rope tail, leather ears and a metal nose ring. Quite possibly just a Spanish tourist piece.

Re: Hand carved wooden bull
It might be Canadian. Might be a buffalo - photos are a bit too dark to be sure.
I've seen eagles carved out of pitch pine that's been heated in a fire which causes the grain to stand out. Made by Native Americans/Canadians and sold to tourists. Beautiful work.

Thanks, not to be crude but is it worth anything?

Re: Hand carved wooden bull
As it's unsigned maybe worth just a few pounds - but it might appeal to collectors of ethnographic stuff.
