Born on October 3rd, 1955 in Iville (Eure)

Being from the Normandy, Thierry Basile knew a long period of wandering. He left home when he was 15 years old, and on his way, he met Jean-Michel Savary, a potter in Saint-Paul, near Beauvais : he spent 1 year in Savary’s workshop.

Painter, potter, musician, he is a versatile artist : he even tried to find the alchemist’s gold ! Long work of mutual taming, with references to Japan : the wave of Hokusai is omnipresent in his creations. His pottery of generous shapes, his colorful ceramics are covered with drawings, with signs, with musical suggestions
