Peta, Portmadog Pottery  Empty Peta, Portmadog Pottery

Vase with dragon, signed Peta and stamped Portmadog.
Seems that Portmadog and Porthmadog are the same place in Gwynydd, Wales, but at some point the h was added. The pottery uses the name Portmadog.

that piece is almost identical to moffat pottery , the original name was porthmadog , anglicised to portmadoc .

I thought Moffat when I picked it up. It's quite heavily potted which is the opposite of the other pieces of Portmadoc on here.  So I was surprised to see it marked Portmadoc. I'm wondering if these are all one pottery that's changed hands, or different potteries in the area.

Moffat is on the borders in Scotland , I have a large collection of their stuff so the only connection I could make is your potter worked at moffat and moved Shrugs
