I picked this up recently and wondered if anybody might recognise. The applied sections appear to be fairly basic in execution(to me) although the seal suggested something other than evening class. Is this stoneware? Still trying to learn so all thoughts welcome John

Looks to be stamped MNC P and an acorn. I don't think a student would go to that much trouble, although the applied decoration doesn't have much finesse to it. Looks like the work of a hobby potter selling at craft fairs and the like.

An example of Mochaware. Boscastle is the more well known pottery using this type of decoration. If no-one knows here, it might be worth asking them if they recognise the mark.

Found another, with the same dendritic/Mocha pattern and acorn backstamp, attributed to Brenda Murray.

Came across a vase with an impressed acorn mark and a stamp for Brenda Murray who worked in the Peak District in the 1980s
