Pair of Brass Enamelled Vases A.Dellaux
Hi all,
Anbody add some more detail on these vases? I have some info regarding the name but am interested to hear any further
background or biography detail / information on the artist plus quality of the vase?,
The flowers appear to be water lillies and there are dragonflies, I beleive it to be art deco, I have a pair of these
vases and also a set of very similar enamelled plates with a ring on the bases that servers as a stand, the plates are
unmarked but the design is almost identical, albeit a bit brighter in colour perhaps they are not as old. Or is it
posssible they all go together?
I have a pair of the vases, good quality and certainly appear aged, one of them also has a small sticker saying made in
India, which strikes me as incongrous.

It is my opinion that these, like all the others that can be found on ebay and associated sites, are all made recently in India, as the sticker indicates. The incised name has either been added by the company, who made them, or by someone later to try and suggest they are something that they are not.

Shouldn't this one be elsewhere? After all it's not pottery...
