CHALVIGNAC Pottery ( Canada)

Post by antiquerose123 on Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:34 am

Here is another (older) rarer piece of Canadian Pottery that goes by the name of CHALVIGNIC. This one still retains it label, has been loved (chipped) over the years -- but I still buy these item as it still provides us with info on the design, and label to share with others.

Thanks Happy

Thanks, I hope these help

Hi, do you these pieces can be of the same provenance:

They have some similarities.

Hi there:

IMHO, they look like they could be. I want to point out that I made a typing error when I posted this topic. If the MOD could correct my spelling (it was late). So if you can Modify my title too.

The correct Spelling is: CHALVIGNAC. As known as: MAURICE CHALVIGNAC POTTERY

If you google the latter you will find some examples.

Can I post a link to Ebay where I found some similiar?? Nice to see some Canadian pottery all the way over there!! Clap

Hi Rose, welcome

No, please don't put ebay links in the main or ID threads because they don't stay valid.

More here: http://www.20thcenturyforum.com/t7414-commercial-external-links

Sure -- I guess once a person has a name of a piece --they can Google to find Examples.

Read it, but still learning here. Nice to *see* you again!

They seem to have more than a passing resemlance to Vallauris Pottery in France.
