Spill vases, unknown makers
Just got these two 'Spill Vases' ?

But I'am having no luck trying to ID the makers.
Anyone any ideas.
This 1st one seems to be made from a slab of rolled clay and has a 'lip' on the inside.

This 2nd one is coiled, Mark appears to be an M or 3, but I guess it could also be an E or W ?? I've shown it 2 ways to try and save your necks.

Greatfull for any Help - Thanks.

Celtic_Fan, it would be much better (please) if you could post items for ID separately, so it doesn't get confusing with the answers. Also its almost impossible to archive them if and when they get an ID.

Re: Spill vases, unknown makers
You could be right Dan - something I didn't know, I've looked up the technique. As it's a bit more involved, I guess it less 'run of the mill' - a nice vase either way. I would say it is stoneware.
I could be wrong, but I suspect the 1st brown one, is quite old and dates to around the time of all the brown furniture which is now so unpopular (except with me).
skay - if either does get ID'd (I guess that's looking unlikely now) I'll post it seperately, so it can be archived.
