found a mark but it's quite faint so don't know whether it will be of any help

It is a fine yunomi. Can you have a guess at what the mark might be?

Not really. It's too tall for a teabowl (chawan) but not a drinking cup (yunomi).

I can't see the mark but the piece its self is very very similar to her woork

WOWZA, loving her stuff, looks pretty much like it could be although in my book her initials are frame in a square box whereby on my piece it is more oval

I just checked the mark on the last mug posted in the Ruthanne Tudball thread,it was made in the 1990's and has an oval potters mark Most Excellent

I'm now pretty sure your tea bowl was made by Ruthanne

Finally got around to looking out a piece of Ruthanne's work from the 1990s when she was based near Reading and an image of her two marks are shown below (there is a second swirl mark next to the main mark). I wouldn't worry about the lack of the second mark on your yunomi.



I'll add a copy of this mark to the Ruthanne thread as well.
