Random Strapping Vase any Ideas ???

Hi all,
1stly thanks for taking the time to view this vase which recently came from a car boot.

Its metal is clear glass with a green colour. Lots of random strapping with a broad flared top rim, i think fire polished.

The base has been gound completely flat, there is a flattend bubble in the base which i thought may indicate a casing but cant see any evidence other than this strange bubble.
Measures 8.5" tall and is very heavy

I agree Ed, looks like Mdina, never seen one in clear glass though

Thanks Ed, Mdina never crossed my mind due to the colour but the
shape and flat polished base all seems right now that you mention it.

will look around to see if there are any other clear Mdina offering.

I can't tell from the image, but there doesn't look like there is any wear marks on the base. Which in my mind would suggest much newer and from another part on the continent.
