Art Deco Owl, pressed glass with Star mark ??????

Hi all,
I picked up this Pressed glass owl very cheaply at the local bootfair thisw sunday.
Im guessing its a paperwieght and thought that i had seen the six pointed star mark in one of the glass books but
now cant find any reference of it anywhere, i hope somone can shed some light on it for me.

Oh, nearly forgot its about 9cm tall

I keep peering into the clear base trying to summon the letters R.Lalique to come out but its not happening..... any more likely thoughts ??
