Small, handled Italian vase with horses
Picked this up a couple of weeks ago at a local thrift store here in NYC. It's small, only around 6"tall. Marked "Italy" with a fancy flourish coming of the "T". Is this a generic piece of Italian pottery, or can it be attributed to a specific maker? All input is greatly appreciated.

Hi jesgord, welcome to the forum
Nice pot
I know what people will say - its almost impossible to pin down something marked Italy to a certain factory / maker.
We should start a generic Italy thread to show them.

Thanks for the welcome. I figured as much....but I though the flourish from the T could help ID a specific maker. If it were marked with a donkey head and "Italy", we would all be able to ID the maker, no?

This looks a little nicer than your average generic Italian tourist tat - and I agree that the flourish above the Italy could help pin it down for you - although unfortunately I can't help. I know who's help we need but he seems to have decamped permanently to the 'other' board with the dodgy photos ...
