Italian/Chinese dish?

Post by vanmann on Fri Jan 14, 2011 11:40 am

I bought this thinking it was probably Italian but it has now been suggested more likely to be Chinese. It seems to have a well finished polished concave base. Any thoughts? John

I've seen lots of these - more usually in blue, sometimes in red - and often wrongly attributed to Holmegaard. There's been discussion on these on other forums as well - I suspect they're from the Far East but I reckon Nic will probably know for sure.

I'd say China is a good bet, but I don't know for sure.
