Can anyone help me identify this vase as ALSTERFORS SCANDINAVIAN TAPERING BLUE GLASS VASE 1970'S - no label. What should I be looking for? Thanks

I assume you're the bidder in this auction...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALSTERFORS-SCANDINAVIAN-TAPERING-BLUE-GLASS-VASE-1970S-/250730983111?pt=UK_Art_Glass&hash=item3a60bb2ec7
It would be very helpful for you to take your own photographs of the item, and include a bit of detail on how it's finished - close-up images of the rim and base, etc... Thanks.
My own instinct is that it was made by Krosno, Poland.

Is this Alsterford?
Thanks for information and sorry about photo... kept it as a record as I already bought the vase.
Deep blue - 10 inches (25.5cm) an 4 inches (10cm) width including handle - no observable markings. Bought as Alsterfors according to seller.

Thanks for the additional images. The base finish would seem to discount Polish manufacture.
Germany is a strong possibility.

I've looked through my books and can't find this shape attributed to Alsterfors. From looking at the photos I tend to agree with Nic, it doesn't look Scandi production at all to me I'm afraid.

Thanks for the helpful advice. It would be nice to know the origins of this glass (I have since bought a second piece in turquoise). I have searched the web but can't find any info... I like its shape and colours regardless of where its from. Any more info gratefully received.

Here are some more photos including the turquoise vase. Thanks to Nic & Pip, but my efforts to identify these vases has not provided a clue as to their origins.... please, any further help or clues much appreciated.

Germany is still the best bet, but would be near-impossible to track down a specific factory.
Could be Friedrich, could be Fischer, but could easily be any one of a dozen other factories.
