I'm sorry but are you absolutely sure it's not a paul dressler grootenburg? normaly the bigger uhlemeyer vases show the double horsehead mark...or the impressed germany or both....
and other studios are known who did copper reduction glazed items...
it could be uhlemeyer for sure... but I'm not absolutely sure

I believe they both worked together at one time , the grootenburg pieces I have seen never had a base stand rim , this one has and is it possible uhlemeyeher mark is on the rim , I can just about make out numbering on the base near the top also.

Hi Sven,
They did work together until c1939 and Uhlemeyer did not always mark his own studio work on the base rim. It would be interesting to confirm if Gootenburg/Dressler produced pieces with this color of clay and similar rims.

dresler did not always mark his own studio work on center of the base either... and I've seen some grooteburg pieces with base stand rim....
normally the dresler items are a little heavier at the same size....
