Mdina - unusual bit?
I bought this the other day and was surprised to see the streak of the Mdina blue / yellow in this vase. Is it unusual?

No it's fairly standard - you find that yellowy streak in both the 'tortoiseshell' and the bluey green coloured Mdina glass. It's a nice vase Sue - here's the one I had http://www.pips-trip.co.uk/sold-glass-archives/maltese-glass-1/showitem-MDINA-TORT1A.aspx
I'm sure Christine would know what chemical process causes the yellow streaks...

The yellow is silver chloride and if there is an iridescent streak on the outside, that's where the silver chloride has escaped to the surface
