West German vase - anyone know the maker?

Post by fianelly on Sun Jan 23, 2011 12:12 am

Hi - I've purchased this vase, which on first impressions looked quite modern. However, it's marked W. Germany and is such a great shape and colour that I couldn't resist.

Any help with the maker would be appreciated...

Thanks
Fi

German? rectangular vase, form 7/18 any ideas

Post by postmodernnut on Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:44 pm

Cannot find a reference for this piece. I thought it was German, did come from a German dealer. It is 15.5 cm tall and 18.4 cm. long. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

This great Silberdistel 19-30 I found at a car boot sale, full of candlestick wax. Warm water and several hours later it came up clean and wax free.

My only thought had been Schlosberg, but cannot remember why. I do know my idea was only a guess, when I originally entered it into our database. Has Jopeko been known to hand inscribe their numbers? I have no knowledge if they did or didn't personally. Many thanks Big Ed.
