Pottery Collectors
It was very interesting to hear on an Antiques roadshow prog on bbc , that ceramic expert, David Battie, more known for ming dynasty and traditional ceramic wares , that he collects ceramics from the 50's 60's and 70's , inculding scheurich fat lava etc.
I enjoy hearing stuff like this, as it shows some of the dinosaur collectors that are prevailant in our midst at the moment ,can actually open their eyes and move towards a more modern way of thinking in the world of pottery , ...Ok we can all collect , love what wev,e got , but we shouldn't be staid , the hans coper's of this world are potting NOW and if you can spot what might be , surely that's better than what was .

Re: Pottery Collectors
Yeah i know Paul , but it's a sad state of affairs when you see these "antique shops " flogging the old gear from the early 1900's , I mean it's hard to even find one that opens it's doors , IMO i think they should cut their losses and move on , it happens at some fairs as well ,tired looking wares that have done the rounds for donkeys years , with a very few exceptions most of the stuff is simply not wanted .
