WMF? green / blue glass vase
This is another Bootsale find from this morning (not mine unfortunatly) I thought it might be WMF giving it has adventurine in it. But I would like an expert appraisal if poss! Sorry the picture is another Phone shot,
The vase is about 6" tall with a polished pontil.
Thanks again,
Bryn

WMF? Adventurine? I've never seen any WMF production with adventurine ... this doesn't look German to me but I could well be wrong.

Re: WMF? green / blue glass vase
I may have an answer to my own question here. I found a vase in Mark Hill's publication Hi Sklo Lo Sklo(page 51 right) attributed to Frantisek Koudelka at the Prachen Glassworks in 1973 as part of a range entitled Flora. There is also a link to a Glassmessages topic entitled Czechoslovakian vase with label where another smaller vase in this range is shown. My friends vase looks brighter but it was photographed under a strong sun which tended to overexpose the subject. The colours seem very similar to me although the green has dominence here as opposed to blue on the GM and the shape may be another in the Flora range. What do you think? Thanks,
Bryn

This turned out to be a Loetz spatter glass vase with aventurine circa 1900 and is now winging it's way to the USA for far more than I could have ever wished for.
