Alan Clarke current situation

Post by ppcollectables on Sat Sep 25, 2010 1:27 pm

Does anyone know what Alan is doing at the moment. Someone told me they thought he had retired. He doesn't seem to be associated with Glazed art design anymore - has he had some kind of 'falling out ' with them. ( which wouldn't be the first time )

Sorry, I meant this to be added to the Alan Clarke section, not to create a new topic.

Happy I'll move it to 'general pottery discussion' for more exposure, as the main threads are for pictures etc., usually.

We can move it to the main thread later, if need be.

Alan has been ill but is recovering. He was working with Stoke Art Pottery for a while but found it too much to work on a regular basis at present. He is taking commissions and may start to produce some general pieces but at the high end of the market. We have been discussing a project with him - as yet in its infancy.
