"Modern Art" is produced by incompetents, sold by charlatans and bought by ignoramuses?

It is enlightening to juxtapose "Fine Art" to "Modern Art"

I believe she is working out of the Gaolyard studios in St Ives, along side Sam Hall , Trevor Corser etc., but not doing much salt/ soda pieces .

The problem with working in the Gaolyard Studios (gossip from an ex-inmate) is that you have to share kilns with the other potters so Rebecca wouldn't be able to use salt or soda in those kilns, as it would (a) knacker the kilns and (b) traces of the soda or salt would interfere with the other artists' work.

Therefore her change in style might not have been through choice.

She did a Post-Graduate degree at the RCA I do believe.
I wonder if that's where her change of style came from? The celadon minimalist style a la Edmund De Waal does seem the high-fallutin flavour of the past several years. Personally,I find it rather a cul-de-sac in aesthetic terms...

Very nice, but there do seem to be a lot of potters doing this style of pottery. They seem to have been strongly influenced by Walter Keeler, or whoever Keeler was influenced by.
