Roger J. Cockram

Roger is best known for his sealife pieces,he was a marine biologist before becoming a potter and bases his pottery on what he has seen during his life as a diver,he was part of the team that discovered the wreck of the Mary Rose in 1966

Have just come across this thread and thought this jug may be of interest. I did get confirmation from Roger Cockram that he had made this, probably he thought, in the 1980s, John

Works mostly in stoneware but also some porcelain, producing domestic and individual pieces.

Roger's stuff from Farnham -

He said he stares into rock-pools for inspiration. Last year was a bit too seaweedy for my taste. This year he's gone for a more watery effect so I treated myself to one of his new bowls.

Farnham Art in Clay 2013:

A nice Fish pot I've just picked up.
Looks to be the same shape as his tea pots, but without spout and handle.
Stands aprox 12 inches tall with Fish finial lid and 8 inches without lid.

I think this is a really clever pot, the way the fish swim up one side, over the top and down the other.

Nice bowl this, loving the metallic elements, first thoughts are Scottish maybe from the Highlands and Islands, when I saw the tree first thoughts were Alan Gaff but now I think otherwise, any theories on this one

Hello,this vase measures 10"" high from base to the top of the frog.there is a Definate Roger signature very clear but the surname the G is clear then what looks like. U,then a space then a large R.at the opposite side of the base is two impressed circular markings but can't work them out. Could this be by Roger Guerin.? Regards PAM.

This bowl has a mark I can't identify,, I have found other tree marks for Ruth Lyle & another for Roger Cockram but this one looks different at the base of the tree,, Opinions welcome do you think it's by one of the mentioned potters?
