1970's? modern art? bronze figure on wooden base, Scandinavian?

Hi, I bought this several years ago i dont know much about it except to say its made from bronze and looks to me like some modern art sculpture, anyway will try post a pic or two and maybe some one will recognise what this is and where its from.
