Marschner

Post by flying free on Fri Jun 25, 2010 7:12 pm

I am sure I have seen this somewhere on my travels but I cannot find anything to match now
I thought it might be Scandinavian but have searched hundreds of images and nothing either on the design/decoration or the mark.
Any help very much appreciated. Thanks
m

Slightly better picture.
The finish is matt on the vase and the thin stripe is in fact a tan colour with the wider ones black.

I keep telling myself I won't buy anything I don't recognise (or need...for that read 'have to have'), but thing is, I just buy what I like and then I end up having to try and find out about things constantly

the problem tends to come when a collector/enthusiast decides to concentrate on one or more specific areas of interest, the early buys tend not to fit in and then lose all appeal

Dave Thank you!!
Dan, I have been collecting for years and so far I haven't specialised in anything apart from I have a passion for Carlo Moretti satinato pencil neck vases and one other Glassy person who I also collect. I do collect modern British studio glass as well, but again only pieces that appeal to me not just because it's studio glass if you see what I mean, but the rest is just 'stuff' I like. Hubby is always moaning 'but it doesn't 'go' with anything else and that's what I love. I couldn't just collect the same thing.
However, he has moaned a little more lately so I am getting rid of a few bits (apart from the ones where I keep saying, oh I can't possibly sell that I love it). I haven't fallen out of love with anything I've bought yet but needs must so some have to go I guess.
