This is a really stunning colour and I love the matt glaze.

took a bit of doing I tell you. First of all I thought it might have been Usch Spettigue as the glaze used is very similar. But I emailed and it was a no. So.... I turned the sig upside down and then searched all 'S' potters first and last name... eventually I realised Simon, Narbeth and hey presto. Obviously I have too much time on my hands at the mo

There is more information on there about Simon Rich also stating he trained with Alan Caiger-Smith at Aldermaston Pottery in the 60's and with a range of his recent work.

I have one the same colour and I agree the colours are beautfiful, my husband says I am a magpie, always attracted to anything shiny

Simon Rich current production

I bought this handled casserole pot about four months ago at a charity shop for £2.50. Actually there was another one for sale (same shape) but I preferred the colour and style of decoration on this one. I made enquiries on studio pottery websites and I thought the initials SR matched Simon Rich but my casserole pot has a new smell about it and I wondered whether it was genuine. It's nice to know Mr Rich remains in production. Has anyone got another casserole or other like articles similar to mine?
