Quantock Pottery

Post by flying free on Sun Mar 21, 2010 10:35 pm

I think this was made in the 80's although I haven't checked with them, but it doesn't look like their most recent production. I love it. It is nearly 14"high 4.5 " deep and 5.5" wide.

Thanks for the info, I much prefer the style of your vase to the more recent production.

me too!
It's really rustic and has the celtic? knot on it which I love. All applied individually and the pattern is both front and back.
Mind you I like a couple of their lamp bases.

Can anyone please help ID this Stoneware plaque??

Post by funkyfifi on Thu Sep 09, 2010 6:20 pm

Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone could help ID this stoneware plaque? I have tried Googling etc, but am coming back with nothing, and it is now irritating me Frustrated!!
It looks very good quality and is heavy, with a very detailed Stag & Bracken design. The first impressed mark is RAB, with QD underneath. I am not usually beaten, but I have no idea about this. Any help would be so so appreciated Laughter

Cheers for reading x
Fiona

A little Quantock Owl I found in a local Charity shop today for 50p.
8cm tall 7.5cm wide. Not the clearest of back stamps (I couldn't even read it in the shop - but I guessed who it was), but enough shows.
No idea if old or new - but cute.
