Very nice Ed, is there a story? Did you buy it before you knew of him, or research him afterwards?

I knew very little about him other than he was a local born artist, so when I saw the etchings at our local auction I decided to have a punt ,I got them ,(there was another market scene) both for £50 , the guy that runs the caerleon site came over today and took a pic for his site he valued them at about £200 or thereabouts , so quite pleased , he seemed very knowledgeable about his work and hadn't seen the one of pecoed before , the rest of the info on him is in the site , apparently he sold paintings for drink ( common among artists I gather )

Thanks Ed, that's the best comprehensive explanation I've read for ages

I loved the family history pics.
